The Process
There are many reasons you may be considering an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) assessment for your child, some of which might include:
Following an initial consultation with a care giver either via telephone or Microsoft teams, we will use either an ADOS:II face to face assessment or an ADI-r assessment tool via Microsoft Teams to assess the child or young person.
An ADOS:II assessment is conducted with your child and two clinicians. One clinician will engage your child in a series of tasks while the other makes observations. There will be the opportunity for your child to take a break during to assessment and we will follow the lead of your child when completing the tasks. The assessments take place in Preston, Lancashire. The assessment will be scored and reviewed by our team before giving a diagnostic outcome. Once a final clinical decision has been reached, a final appointment will be arranged to explain the diagnostic outcome in a way that is comprehendible, as well as answer any questions you may have. You will be provided with a full report which we will endeavour to have in the post to you in two weeks, which you can share with whomever necessary. The report will include, if required, recommendations tailored to your child’s individual needs to help support them in education.
We offer ADOS:II assessments for children age 3+ and will discuss the appropriate diagnostic tool for your child or young person during the initial consultation.
The cost of an ADOS Assessment is £1500. Should you wish to arrange a free consultation, please click the “Book a consultation“ button below and include:
